Look, I'm starting to get a irritated with some of these responses now. I think I expressed where I was coming from and the experiences that I was basing my behavior from. I never assumed any absolutes, but tried to do in the moment with her what has worked for me in the past because I liked her and it seemed like the best choice to me. Obviously, if didn't care, have empathy, or want to remedy things going forward, I wouldn't have come on here. I am more than happy to hear other perspectives and learn here, but making caricature statements about me and suggesting that I can't read people, etc... I don't find that to be helpful comments at all.

I've seen a couple cute women at the gym over time--the problem is that they're pretty much off limits because I don't know how to quickly pick them up without interrupting my training or theirs. Holding a conversation just isn't going to happen (even if the woman was receptive to it, taking all that time would compromise my own training). So in this situation, can anyone recommend a good way to rapidly approach and charm a woman I see around there, and then disappear back among the machines in time for the next set?

Alright, well, I have a problem with something my girlfriend did...We have been dating for about 5 1/2 monthes, and last weekend she went on a school function trip. She called me while she was gone and told me how much she missed me and stuff because we are truly very close, but on the way home, she flirted with another guy - just joking around and laughing, and she layed her head down on his shoulder for like 2 seconds (as I'm told). She says that she has no feeling whatsoever for this guy (which happens to be a friend of mine). She says that she was just trying to be friendly, which is understandable I suppose because she's not the most popular person. She's never done anything of the sort before, but I just don't know whether I can trust her or not now because she was telling me all about how she missed me and was even thinking about me when she was flirting with him. I just wonder if the guy had flirted back with her instead of keeping his cool being respectful to me, if something would have escalated. I wonder if she'd go so far as to cheat on me.

I think that's awesome SG. I agree that there isn't any harm in a few dates. I know that you tend to jump into relationships fast, so do I. But you really should take it truely slow. There's no harm in a date afterall.
